Dennis McCarthy, "Fast & furious 6" picture car co-ordinator ready to set the LC470 against the rest at SEMA 2013.
One thing certain about the 2012 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational
is wild and exotic rides. Dennis McCarthy's 2012 Lucra LC470 would likely fall into both categories.
Don't feel bad if this is the first time you've heard of this car. Feel knowledgeable if you think the car looks similar to a classic Lister Jaguar or Chevrolet. They served as inspiration.
Lucra have been producing these cars since 2011 and they are about to become very famous.
Credit for launching the car on into the global market goes to Universal Studios. The LC470 will feature as a star car in "Fast & furious 6", due for release in May 2013.
The LC470 is very capable on the race track, but still very tractable on the street. The design and execution of this car probably far outstrips what most folks would expect from a factory ride.
The LC470 is easily capable of low-9 second passes in the quarter mile.
Dennis McCarthy drives for a living, working as a picture car coordinator. That´s the connection to the "Fast & furious" movie. He has also worked as a stunt driver in "Live Free or Die Hard", "Fast Five", "Batman Begins" and "Herbie Fully-Loaded".
Hollywood stunt-driving requires the ability to be very precise and very repeatable under very stressful and often high-speed scenarios. Much the same requirements needed by a professional race car driver.
